Finally made it to my bed! This week felt too long…..do I look tired? Haha, oh well. Time to eat and head to sleep.

Got myself a tattoo!!!

….Nah, it’s fake. Hahaha. I was contemplating on getting one, but I don’t think I want a tattoo anymore. I might change my mind, who knows.

I wanted to make a goofy face, but my coworkers would look at me weird. Next time, I will (maybe, but I will). For now, deal with my constant smiling face.

Anyway, today is a slow day so I’m going to sketch my heart out. Also, thank you to hellomynameiskimmi, tedzeppelin1990, mnnqn for saying good luck for me on my first day. For those who don’t know what my job is, I’m a graphic designer at my school’s student union. I like it here, everyone is nice and funny. Chill environment.

Hope you guys are doing well and your summer isn’t too hot. Haha.

Got this red birdie earlier today at my cousin’s baby shower! I didn’t win it, but no one was paying attention to the raffle anymore so I picked this up. It was fun, lots of laughs and drinks and too much sunshine! There was a moment where my cousin was talking about what name she picked for her baby; and I can tell that she was so happy, truly happy. Someday, I hope to have that joyful feeling when I start a family. But that won’t happen till I’m in my thirties cause career comes first for me, haha. 

Speaking of careers, recently I just got a job at the school! My position is Graphic Artist I, so I’m going to be making posters, banners, signs etc. To be honest, it’s actually my first job, hahaha. I definitely need the work experience and the money. There are so much things I want/need to buy and the first thing I’ll buy is a Wacom Tablet. Besides money, I need to develop my design skills so I think this job would help a lot. Still haven’t heard from my supervisor yet on when I start, I WANT TO WORK NOW!

But yah, thought I share with you guys on what’s going on in Marlene’s World so far. Not sure if you want to hear posts about somebody else’s business since I post mostly art stuff. But I would like to share more about myself than just posting art and design posts.

At the library to study for finals next week, I’m going to be here all day. At least I have my Iced Vanilla Latte (tastes alright) and a bagel for survival.

Going to have lunch with my mom and my aunt. It’s my mom’s birthday! (She’s 51, shhhhh) haha
